Welcoming George Black to Church of the Nativity

George Black is currently an Ordinand for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Church. He holds a Master’s of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary, with aspirations of serving as a full-time prison and school chaplain. He will be helping out part time at Church of the Nativity serving as Curate.

Most recently, George served as a Venture Manager of Collab, a community-centered accelerator for Connecticut entrepreneurs and project builders. Before Collab, George served as both a Dream Director and Chief Dream Director with The Future Project for the city of New Haven. He currently serves as a Safe Church Trainer for the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut, where he previously served as the South-Central Region Organizer. George has been serving as a youth worker and advocate for over 18 years and has been awarded the Americorp Award for Continued Service and The Rt. Rev. Arthur B. Williams, Jr. Black Episcopal Church Pastoral Care and Church Leadership Award for his work.
